This course provides in depth training if you wish to find employment as a medical secretary. Comprehensive training materials are provided for future reference. Medical secretaries provide clerical and administrative support to medical staff in hospitals, private practice and general practice. Requirements for these posts include OCR Typing Level 3 (or similar), excellent word processing skills and a good knowledge of medical terminology. Course pre-requisites This course is ideally suitable for those who already have some secretarial experience. Essential pre-requisites are: - 1) A good level of English Grammar, 2) The ability to type at 45 to 50 words per minute, 3) The ability to use Microsoft Word to a proficient level, including tables. In addition it is beneficial if you have recently passed OCR Level 2 in Word Processing and Text Processing examinations.
